Chauvel & Glatt congratulates its long-standing client, GSC Logistics, for its recent acquisition of MacMillan-Piper. GSC Logistics is a highly-regarded nationwide third-party logistics provider based in Oakland. MacMillan-Piper is a leading specialty transloading operation that has been servicing the Pacific Northwest for more than 50 years. This acquisition allows GSC to expand its presence along the West Coast. It also results in GSC adding five new warehouse facilities with more than 380,000 sq. ft. to its operations and expanding its fleet to more than 100 trucks.
Derek Myers of Chauvel & Glatt was the lead attorney representing GSC in this deal, and worked closely with GSC’s executive leadership team, including GSC’s CEO Scott Taylor and its President David Arsenault. “It was a pleasure working with Scott, Dave and the GSC team on this deal, as well as with the MacMillan-Piper team,” said Derek Myers. “This is a significant moment in GSC’s history and I am happy to be part of it.”
