San Francisco has loosened their face mask requirements for certain indoor settings now that the surge of Covid-19 cases is slowing. Now, individuals may be able to remove their face mask in these settings:
- Offices;
- Gym and fitness centers;
- Employee commuter vehicles;
- Religious gatherings;
- Indoor classes, lecturers, or similar gatherings who meet regularly with less than 100 people.
Notably, San Francisco employers must beware, before you begin loosening your face mask policies in the workplace these loosened face mask restrictions apply to employers who can verify full vaccination of all employees, as well as meet other additional requirements. California face covering guidance still remains in effect for those businesses and indoor spaces that have unvaccinated workers. Other safety requirements and protocols also remain in effect.
